The purpose of events organized by the Finland Chamber of Commerce is to provide positive experiences for all participants. Finland Chamber of Commerce does not tolerate any form of harassment or inappropriate behavior at its events. Everyone has the right to their own personal safe space at all our events, and we are committed to upholding the principles of a safer space.
The Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to remove a participant from an event as discreetly as possible if they violate the code of conduct or the principles of a safer space. These principles apply to all our events and to all individuals attending them.
Harassing behavior may include, for example:
- Comments related to appearance, gender, sexual orientation, race, age, disability, or religion. Please respect everyone and approach each person without assumptions or prejudice.
- Mocking, sarcastic or humiliating speech or behavior. We ask you to respect others’ opinions, beliefs, experiences, and differing viewpoints.
- Unwanted physical contact. Kindly ask for permission before touching someone, taking photos or videos or before publishing them.
- Inappropriate interruptions during presentations or speeches. Allow everyone space and the opportunity to speak.
If you encounter harassment or other inappropriate behavior:
- Intervene and ask the person being harassed if they would like help or support. Don’t remain a bystander.
- Report any harassment you have experienced or witnessed to the event security or to the harassment contact person appointed by the Finland Chamber of Commerce.
